That is exactly why I don't read the 'LLM = computer' thesis literally.

I interpret it differently: the LLM becomes an orchestrator of computations, where language is the control bus. In such a model, the 'operating system' itself can be built around intentions, policies, tools, memory, access rights, and agentic roles. This is closer to a new class of AI architecture than to classic software with a UI layered over an API.

The Percepta.ai article doesn't feature a product release with pricing or an API table. It is an exploratory framing of the issue. But it is precisely these types of texts that I monitor very closely: they often anticipate the next market layer—first the concept, then the middleware, then platforms, and finally the mass integration of artificial intelligence into processes.

Impact on Business and Automation

For businesses, the major shift here isn't that a 'smart OS will emerge.' The main shift is that process logic can migrate from hard-coded scripts into an environment where AI dynamically assembles a chain of actions tailored to the task, constraints, and user context.

Now, I increasingly design the layer of agentic coordination: who makes decisions, who verifies them, where the state is stored, what tools the agent can invoke, and how actions are audited.

Companies whose complex processes fit poorly into rigid BPMs will win. Logistics, service, B2B sales, procurement, and industrial support are areas where AI automation is particularly strong because real work constantly deviates from the template. Those who try to replace their architecture with a pretty demo bot lacking rights, memory, and error control will lose.

You need a state machine, task routing, inference cost control, fallback mechanisms, logging, and a human-in-the-loop framework. Without these, an 'agentic OS' turns into an expensive source of chaos.

Strategic Outlook and Deep Analysis

My non-obvious conclusion is this: LLM-native systems will not kill classic software, but they will transform the upper management layer. I expect that in the coming years, the market won't move towards 'LLMs replacing computers,' but rather towards hybrid stacks where the model handles intent interpretation and action composition, while deterministic services handle calculations, transactions, and control.

I build an environment where the LLM understands the request, plans the steps, delegates tasks to specialized modules, verifies the outcome, and escalates edge cases to a human.

Looking further ahead, I anticipate the emergence of a new class of platforms: agentic runtime environments, AI policy engines, memory layers, reasoning observability tools, and inter-agent contracts. This will represent genuine AI solution development, not just customizing yet another chat window.
